Extend-it hair extensions is 100% human hair which means it will take color, however, the extensions have already gone through a color change so coloring can be tricky. Depositing color to make the extensions darker is always easier than stripping color and making it lighter. Always do a strand test if you want to try altering your extension color. We recommend that you bring your extensions to a professional hair colorist. 

If you prefer your hair extensions with some shorter layers, feel free to give it a trim or cut. Just remember that this hair does not grow back so be careful when snipping. We recommend you ask your personal stylist for help.

When the extensions are not in use, store them in the Extend-it packaging that it came with.

It is recommended to remove your extensions before going to bed. We all get bed head, our hair extensions can be prevented from getting it too.

It is not recommended to wear your extensions in water.it is more difficult to remove extensions when it is in wet hair.

You can absolutely exercise with extensions on. But we all know the gym comes with sweat or it wouldn't be a workout! Salt from your perspiration can cause the hair to dry out so be sure to wash away any excess sweat that is left on the hair extensions after your workout.

Your hair extensions will not need to be washed as often as your own natural hair. The extensions do not catch on the natural oils produced from your scalp as much your own hair does. Frequency in washing will also depend on frequency of wears and activities. If you wear your extensions everyday you may want to wash it once every week.

If taken care of properly, your Extend-it extensions should last 1 year

Every set of Extend-it extensions comes with 2 additional clips. We use the best clips available on the market for extensions. However, in the case where one does break, these clips are available to you for backup.
